STEGO Elektrotechnik –
Sustainable Strategy for Employee
Recruitment and Retention

The Project: Attractive Positioning of an Industry Leader in Electrical Engineering

STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH, based in Schwäbisch Hall and a renowned provider of climate control and electrical protection technology, recognized the importance of a strong employer brand to stand out in an increasingly competitive job market. Together with STEGO, we developed a comprehensive employer branding strategy focused on authenticity and targeted communication to attract qualified employees and ensure long-term retention.

The Challenge: Increasing Visibility and Appeal in the Regional Job Market

Despite its excellent reputation, STEGO GmbH faced the challenge of standing out among other employers in the Schwäbisch Hall region. The goal was to highlight the unique qualities of STEGO’s corporate culture and enhance its attractiveness as an employer. Our analysis of the competitive landscape helped us identify clear opportunities and strategic approaches, which we translated into a targeted employer branding strategy.

Our Approach: Analysis, Employee Integration, and Authentic Positioning

The project began with a comprehensive analysis of the job market and an intensive workshop involving employees from various departments, including production, administration, and apprentices. Together, we identified the specific values, strengths, and corporate culture of STEGO. This participatory approach allowed us to develop an employer branding strategy that actively involved employees as authentic brand ambassadors. Collaborating with the management team, we defined clear objectives and target groups to ensure our messaging effectively reached the desired talent pool.

Our Solution: A Multi-Channel Campaign with Authentic and Targeted Measures

Based on the insights gained, we developed a comprehensive employer branding campaign that was implemented across various channels to strengthen STEGO’s position as an attractive employer:

  • Trade Fair Appearances for Professionals and Young Talent: We designed custom exhibition stands that authentically conveyed STEGO’s core values and open corporate culture, attracting potential candidates at industry trade fairs and career fairs for apprentices.
  • Job Ads and Recruitment Flyers: We created targeted job advertisements and flyers that highlight the career opportunities and benefits of working at STEGO.
  • Regional Billboard Advertising: To increase visibility, we launched a regional billboard campaign that boosted STEGO’s presence in the area.
  • Social Media Training for Internal Teams: To ensure consistent and authentic brand communication on social media, we conducted training sessions for the internal team.

The Result: A Strengthened Employer Brand and Increased Applicant Reach

The implementation of the employer branding campaign led to an increase in STEGO’s employer perception within the region. The authentic presence at trade fairs and the regional billboard campaign were met with positive feedback from potential applicants.

Conclusion: Effective Employer Branding through a Targeted Strategy and Authentic Measures

Our employer branding project for STEGO Elektrotechnik demonstrates how a tailored strategy can create a sustainable and attractive employer brand. With clear positioning, authentic communication materials, and internal training, STEGO not only attracted new talent but also strengthened its bond with existing employees. We look forward to continuing to support STEGO in their future employer branding efforts.
